PR Natural Hand Care

Human hands are unique. The configuration of our fingers on our precious palms, give us the power to grasp and manipulate differently shaped objects with varying levels of strength and control.

The human hand is also the most frequently symbolized part of the human body. Aristotle referred to our hands as the ‘tools of tools’ and along with allowing us to work in unique ways, they are also used for communication.

In today’s world, even more so, allowing us to communicate generosity, blessings, hospitality and even stability from a distance, as well as communicate with the power of touch. We are also judged by our hands, whether it be their size, lengths of our fingers, lines on our palms and more importantly how well we look after them. Hands show age the fastest, mainly because the skin is thin.

In these times of the Covid-19 pandemic, we have been told that one of the most important ways of staying safe, is simply by washing our hands more frequently. We have all seen numerous videos online, celebrity Instagram challenges and illustrations advising us of ways to do it better. In addition, we are all using way more sanitizer than we would probably like to considering the drying effect chemicals and alcohol have on our skin.

This month we release a new selection of natural hand care products enriched with natural ingredients known for their soothing properties, specially formulated to cleanse your hands and help leave them feeling soft and smooth. Suitable for all skin types, shop in store & online at www.shopPR.lk

Step 1 - Exfoliation

Just as you exfoliate the skin on your face and body, we need to focus on removing the top layer of skin on our hands to reveal the fresh skin underneath. Exfoliating also promotes better circulation.

We recommend doing this at least twice a week, we recommend our Natural Walnut Scrub as a great hand exfoliator. It is also our favourite body exfoliator and for those who prefer a deeper exfoliator, even for your face.

Step 2 - Wash with Natural Soap

When washing your hands, it is always better to use a natural product, as it is for your body.

Liquid soap is generally recommended for cleaning your hands and it’s easy to use and won’t spread germs from one person to another like a bar of soap, used by many.

Our liquid soaps have natural moisturizing agents and therefore your hands may not dry out as quickly from frequently cleaning your hands as we hope you are doing today!

We recommend our new hand wash products, Grapefruit & Patchouli Handwash and Tea Tree & Bergamot Handwash.

Step 3 - Moisturise

Moisturising hands reduces microbial shedding from the skin and is simply part of good hand hygiene. If the skin is breaking down or raw, then the soap and alcohol disinfectants actually don’t work as well. Moisturized hands look and feel better, whether it’s your own hands or another’s!

Our new Avocado & Myrrh Hand Cream intensively nourishes and instantly soothes skin, enriched with moisturising properties to help relieve dryness and discomfort.
